Advisory Board Chair
Ron Hodge has more than 30 years of professional leadership and management experience, most recently as a Partner/Senior Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy from George Mason University, with a concentration and Behavioral Economics in Science and Technology. He earned his MBA from George Washington University and a B.S. in management and marketing from Virginia Tech.
Director of Software Engineering, Capital One
Joe graduated from the Pamplin College of Business in 1995 with degrees in both Management and Finance. Additionally, he obtained his MBA with a concentration in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000. After starting his career at the Federal Reserve System as an Analyst, he moved into IT in 1997 performing several roles including computer programming, project management and database administration. Currently, he is a Director of Software Engineering at Capital One, where he manages software development supporting their Commercial Banking systems.
Richard J. Fisher

Rick earned a bachelors of science in management and a MBA from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Rick began his professional career as an officer in the US Marine Corps where he led Marines and served in Desert Storm. He went on to be a business process and technology consultant for Andersen Consulting where he worked with clients in the consumer packaged goods and telecommunications industries. He joined Altria Client Services, Inc. in 1998 where he is a Program Manager.

Marshall Fleming graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelors of science in Political Science and Government. From 1988 to 2001, Marshall was president of Welton, Duke & Hawks Inc. He served as the COO of Bankers Insurance LLC from 2003 to 2005. Since 2005, he has been the president and CEO of Bankers Insurance.
Elizabeth Howard is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Management Science & Information Technology and was a member/officer of the Zeta Upsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, a co-ed business fraternity. In recent years, she has been drawn back into the world of technology, joining Capital One in 2016 as a Project Manager in Global Finance. She later became a Scrum Master at Capital One, focusing on fostering Agile principles, and is currently a DevOps Engineer in the Commercial Banking Technology department.

Cynthia Lawrence is the founder and President of two companies. PerformanceLink Systems, Inc. and its sister company, Design Marketing. She has been helping clients create and manage employee recognition programs and corporate branding campaigns since 1986. Ms. Lawrence is committed to the importance of education, having founded an organization of women business leaders in 1996, The Commonwealth Council, that is dedicated to raising scholarship funds for working women of need who wish to finish their undergraduate education and demonstrate leadership potential.
Dan St. Martin
Dan has been President of Kollmorgen since September 2013. Prior to Kollmorgen, he was at Deere & Company where he led the combined business in the Commonwealth of Independent States and had responsibility for Global Combine Strategy.
Dan has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management from the University of Illinois and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Tim Mullins is Managing Director – Investment Officer of Wells Fargo Advisors in Richmond, VA. He is a recipient of the firm’s 1999 Professional Excellence Award and received the first James C. Wheat, Jr. Award for community service. He currently serves on the investment and finance committees for Feedmore/Meals on Wheels, a charitable organization serving the Richmond Community. He received a B.S. in Management from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business in 1977. He is a past president of the Richmond Hokie Club.
Kimberly J. Shanahan

Kim Shanahan has worked with hundreds of CEOs, Board members, and Chief Human Resource Officers (CHROs) across the country in multiple industries focusing on leading executive level searches and projects. She is the president and CEO of accelHRate, a company that helps other companies transform the way they think about talent and specifically the HR function. Kim is showing enterprises that HR is more than just a support function. She is redefining what “great” looks like when it comes to HR talent – and proving that the right HR leaders are key to driving transformative business success. She holds a BS degree with a double major in Finance and Communications from Virginia Tech.

Frank Vorndran graduated with a bachelor of science in Management from Virginia Tech in 1999. Frank is a Vice President and Financial Advisor based in Morgan Stanley’s McLean, Virginia office. Frank develops long-term relationships with companies and executives in the Technology and Government Services sectors to help prepare them for liquidity events, strategic exits, and the preservation of wealth. Frank develops highly customized solutions for entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and private equity partners. They also work with hedge fund executives, endowments, and privately controlled corporations.

Kimberly graduated with a bachelor of science in Management from Virginia Tech in 1999. She is currently a manager at KPMG in Charlotte, NC. In her position, she leads Workday HCM projects involving strategy, implementation support, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) optimization related to Information Technology (IT) operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the Workday applications. She also supports business development activities such as identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities; work with the appropriate KPMG resources from other service lines/industries.
