Vincenzo (Enzo) Anthony is from Venice, Florida. Enzo graduated in December of 2022.

Enzo has been working for the Jacksonville Jaguars for four months.

We asked Enzo to share both his post-graduation plans and Pamplin experiences with us.

How did you pick your major or concentration? Does it relate to your job?

I had really connected with the MGT Department and major as I thought it was something that I would like to pursue long term with goals of being in executive leadership in my career and to be successful in that position I know that I would have to be a great manager. For my concentration in EIT I have always been very passionate about new business growth and the constant search for opportunities that have the potential to change people’s lives. Small business outreach is the greatest area where I get to use my degree every day as my knowledge allows me to understand the values of their organization and how a relationship with the Jaguars can enhance their sales, client engagement services and new business generation.

How did you find your job? What is your job title and what do you think you will do for them?

I found my current job with the Jaguars through an online resource called Teamwork Online. It is the best platform for looking into open job listings throughout all of sports. My title is an Inside Sales Representative, and my main responsibility is to generate new revenue for the organization on the Ticketing, Sales, and Service side of the operation where we perform outbound communication to businesses and consumers in the greater Jacksonville area to curate exclusive experiences through live entertainment.

What do you think the day-to-day roles and responsibilities will be in your position?

My day-to-day consists of mostly outbound communications and developing unique sales pitches to consumers and businesses based on their wants, needs, and past experiences with live events. We also do a lot of collaboration as a team where we review goals for both our unit and entire sales team for the time period that we are in and what the steps will be to achieve them. In addition, we often research the market and look for new clients that we feel can partner with us to achieve mutual goals.

How was the recruitment process?

The recruitment process was very quick as it was only 3 weeks from when I first interviewed to when I had my first day. I had applied and then went through 4 rounds of interviews before receiving an offer for the position.

What are you looking forward to in starting your new position?

I am very excited for Jaguars game days and concert days here on-site. We put in a lot of hard work for a limited number of days per year and to see our clients happy and enjoying what we built is a great feeling.

Where is your current job located? Are you excited about your work site?

My work is located at TIAA Bank Field almost every day. The entire front office of the organization has office space at our home stadium, and we are allowed one day of work from home per week when appropriate. I am very excited to work here as it is an NFL venue that holds over 68,000 spectators which is definitely a little different than many other workplaces in the country.

If you are driven by sports or love competition then this industry will treat you well over time. It does take a lot of dedication to work in this industry especially at first but there is also a lot of fun to be had and experiences you cannot get anywhere else.

Please give a brief description of job, internship, and or school leadership positions that you led to your future career:

I had a very different track when it comes to internships and other experiences away from school as I did not have any during my years as an undergrad. I played football at VT, and it took up weekends, summers, and winter break most years which did not leave me with much time to do anything other than school and athletics.

What do you want to accomplish within your first year?

My largest goal in my first year is to bring in 250k in gross revenue for the organization.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I would like to be a division manager for a Major-League sports organization.

What advice would you give to someone looking to pursue the same career as yours?

If you are driven by sports or love competition then this industry will treat you well over time. It does take a lot of dedication to work in this industry especially at first but there is also a lot of fun to be had and experiences you cannot get anywhere else.

What type of student would you recommend to apply to this job and why? (This may include a student's interests, what they are good at, characteristics etc.)

Similar to what I previously stated, dedication to sports is a very important factor but I would say that a management student and specifically a consulting or entrepreneurship student would be my recommendation as it gives you the skills and knowledge across every subject you need to succeed in this role.

What is your favorite part of being a management and or Pamplin student?

The aspect of being a MGT/Pamplin student I value the most is the ability to connect with professors that have had a wide range of professional experiences outside of teaching that help guide you to a great career and achieve life goals along the way.
