Christy Jean

HR Director, Logistics & Mission Support Operations, Defense Group at Leidos

Ms. Jean joined Leidos (formerly SAIC) in January, 2001 as a recruiter less than 2 years out of college.  Today, she leads communication and engagement strategy for the function.  In this role she supports development and execution of the HR strategy and roadmap, alignment and integration of goals and initiatives, development and optimization of the HR operating model, policy harmonization, communications, engagement and outreach across the 400+ person HR function.

Prior to joining the strategic operations team, Ms. Jean lead the HR business partner function for the Leidos commercial health subsidiary, an organization with over $200M in revenue and about 700 employees.  As a trusted advisor to the subsidiary President, Ms. Jean’s role was to understand the business, how people impact success, and partner with the leadership team in the development and execution of HR programs that accelerate achievement of business goals.

Over the course of 17 years, Ms. Jean has moved within the company into positions of increasing responsibility across a diverse range of business areas; from Federal civilian IT services, to national security, to commercial health IT consulting, and corporate HR strategic operations.  She has supported business leaders and employee populations through radical organizational change; going public, acquisition, merger and spin-off.

In 2012 and 2013, Ms. Jean received the CEO Award for her contributions in successfully integrating acquisitions and enabling those entities to out-perform initial projections for both revenue and profit while maintaining strong retention of staff.

Ms. Jean holds a B.A. degree in communications from Virginia Tech.
