Graduation Year: 2025

Majors: Real Estate & Management (Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology)

Company and Position: I’m currently continuing my work with UDR as a Property Management Intern based out of Boston. I originally found the opportunity through Spring Business Horizons in 2023. After a successful summer internship, I was invited to continue part-time during the academic year while managing a full-time course load. I’ve now been with the company for two years and plan to stay through summer 2025 as I search for a full-time opportunity in real estate and property management.

Internship Location: My work with UDR is primarily remote during the school year, with seasonal on-site experience in Boston.

Recruitment Process: I connected with UDR through Business Horizons and built a relationship with their team, which ultimately led to my internship offer.

Looking Forward To: Once I land my full-time role, I hope to build a strong foundation by expanding my market knowledge, developing client relationships, and learning from experienced mentors. I’m especially excited to grow my technical skills, gain confidence in negotiations, and contribute meaningfully to real-world transactions.

Advice: “You get out what you put in.” Success won’t come find you—you have to chase it. Get involved, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to act on your ideas. Meaningful connections and early engagement have been the most valuable parts of my journey.

Favorite Part of Pamplin: Pamplin has given me meaningful opportunities to grow, lead, and develop personally and professionally. The support and encouragement from faculty helped me become the leader I always hoped to be.

Mentor or Inspiration: Professor Deck has been a constant source of support—both in the classroom and through her work as faculty advisor for Management Society. Her encouragement and dedication to her students have been a true gift during my time at Virginia Tech.
