Graduation Year: 2025
Major: Management Consulting & Analytics
Company and Position: I will be joining Deloitte full-time as a Business Technology Solutions Analyst in the Government & Public Services (GPS) practice. I’ll be working on strategy and data visualization projects, supporting clients by developing dashboards and contributing to government-specific machine learning models and databases.
Internship Location: My internship and full-time role are both located in Arlington (Rosslyn), Virginia. I love the area and am excited to return—it feels like home, especially with such a strong Hokie network in the office.
Recruitment Process: I learned about the Deloitte GPS internship through Pamplin alumni and Business Horizons. I applied through Handshake and completed two rounds of interviews: a behavioral and technical/case interview in round one, followed by another behavioral interview. At the end of my summer internship in 2024, I received a full-time offer.
Looking Forward To: I’m excited to return to a team I loved working with last summer and continue growing in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. I also hope to support initiatives in environmental sustainability and Virginia Tech recruiting, as well as earn certifications in data visualization and machine learning.
Advice: With an industry as dynamic as consulting, staying informed and connected is key. Build small daily habits—like following business news, preparing early for interviews, and staying active on LinkedIn. And don’t hesitate to reach out to Hokie alumni—our network is powerful and genuinely supportive.
Recommended Student: Any student who thrives in fast-paced, team-oriented environments and has a passion for problem-solving and technology. Consulting isn’t always a straight path, but the challenges are what make it so rewarding.
Favorite Part of Pamplin: The strength of the Pamplin network. It’s more than just referrals—when you’re with a Pamplin student, alum, or faculty member, you feel uplifted, supported, and truly seen.
Mentor or Inspiration: Professor David Williamson has been my biggest mentor since taking his Project Management class sophomore year. His support, energy, and belief in his students has shaped my Pamplin experience and inspired me to give my best in preparation for my consulting career.
