Serena Smith is from Newport News, VA and is majoring in Management with the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology option with a double major in Marketing Management. Upon graduation, Serena will be joining Target as an Executive Team Leader.

Serena mentioned that she chose Virginia Tech for 3 reasons, the community, the financial aid, and the ability to start businesses classes on day 1.

“The biggest organization that impacted me was being a New Horizon Scholar, it gave me opportunities I never knew I would have. Being an Orientation Leader, the summer of 2018, led me to refall in love with Tech and show me my passion for talking with future Hokies and their families,” stated Smith. Pamplin Ambassadors and PUMP, Pamplin Undergraduate Mentoring Program, helped me develop my leadership skill and gave me the chance to share my college experience.”
