Nicholas (“Nick”) D’Angelo

EVP/Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of Zions Capital Markets at Zions Bancorporation

Nicholas (“Nick”) D’Angelo has over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector in numerous senior leadership roles throughout his career. Currently, he is EVP/Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of Zions Capital Markets at Zions Bancorporation. In this role, Nick leads strategic planning & execution, business management, operations, and administrative functions for the Capital Markets division.

Prior to joining Zions, Nick spent over 20 years at Wachovia/Wells Fargo in roles including COO of Enterprise Market, Counterparty, and Liquidity Risk, COO of Enterprise Regulatory Relation, and COO of Asset Backed Finance Sales, Trading, & Syndicate within Wells Fargo Securities. Throughout his career, Nick has been responsible for building and evolving businesses and support functions, implementing new regulations, and significantly improving risk management activities. Additionally, Nick has been a champion of significant human capital initiatives involving recruiting and junior talent development.

Nick graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Management (in Honors) and a B.S. in Finance (Commonwealth Scholar). In 2009, Nick was awarded the Pamplin Outstanding Recent Alumnus Award.

Following graduation, Nick has continued his involvement with Pamplin in a number of capacities. For nearly 8 years, Nick served on the Finance Alumni Advisory Board and is currently serving on the Student-managed Endowment for Educational Development (“SEED”) Alumni Advisory board. Additionally, he has been a frequent guest lecturer for the Finance department throughout his career and has served as a mentor to numerous students in Pamplin.

Nick resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife and their two children.
