Felipe Calvano
Research Interests: Corporate Governance, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Misconduct
Felipe Calvano is a Doctoral Candidate in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. His research interests include corporate governance, corporate entrepreneurship, and misconduct. Particularly, Felipe is interested in learning why actors at the apex of organizations fail so often and how they can become more effective. His work investigating how the alignment between the directors’ collective expertise and the firms’ unique needs influence boards’ reconfiguration and firm performance has been featured in the Strategic Management Journal (http://doi.org/10.1002/smj.3291). Additionally, he is an active member of the Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society.
