David Caravati

David Caravati currently serves as the New Venture Program Coordinator for the Apex Center for Entrepreneurs.

He provides project management skills and logistical support on over of dozen programs Apex is currently offering. He has a passion for grassroots entrepreneurial development, creating a vibrant ecosystem of VT students past and present through meaningful mentorship and relationships. Prior to joining the Apex Center, David worked as the Young Life Capernaum Director for the Salem/Roanoke Valley, creating multiple programs for students with special needs and disabilities at almost 20 high/middle schools. He also served as the Youth Director, Special Needs Coordinator, and Accountant for Westminster Presbyterian Church. Most recently, he spent this past summer and fall working for Mavuno, an international development non-profit that works to provide community and business development solutions to the extreme poor in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. During that time, he got to experience the St. Louis Startup Ecosystem while working in the CIC Co-Lab and Venture Café.

David is a Richmond, Virginia native and received a B.S. in Business Management (Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Technology) from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business in 2014. When not working at the Center, David is an avid Hokie football fan and loves spending time outdoors hiking and playing tennis. He loves to travel internationally and cooking food of all varieties. David lives in Christiansburg, VA with his wife Natasha.
