Department of Management’s first Hokie Village Networking Event prior to the Homecoming Game
November 1, 2018
We are very pleased and excited to announce the Department of Management’s first Hokie Village Networking Event prior to the Homecoming Game!
We invite you to join us this Saturday, November 3 from noon – 2:30 pm at the Hokie Village for networking and tailgating. Hokie Village takes place on the turf field across from Lane Stadium (see details below)
This will be a great opportunity to stop by and review some of the new initiatives that the Department has launched, visit with our faculty, staff and students. We are very appreciative to Capital One, our sponsor, for their support of this event.
In addition, we are very proud and will be celebrating that Cmdr. Stacy Uttecht, a Department of Management alumni and a 2000 graduate of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets will lead the F/A-18F Super Hornets over Lane Stadium prior to kick-off. Cmdr. Stacy Uttecht earned a degree in business management from the Pamplin College of Business and she is the commander of Strike Fighter Squadron 32, the “Fighting Swordsmen,” at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Join us Saturday – we look forward to seeing you there!
Hokie Village is free admission and will open 3.5 hours before kickoff and stay open up to 45 minutes before game time. The Hokie Village is held on the turf soccer/lacrosse practice field and can be accessed by the Beamer Way gate entrance located directly across the street from the West Side of Lane Stadium.
Offering a family-friendly atmosphere, Hokie Village features inflatables, tailgating games, concessions, music and appearances by Virginia Tech student-athletes, including the Spirit Squads and HokieBird.
