Ryan Musselman

Biography

Ryan Musselman is pursuing his PhD in Management in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. His focus is in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, where he explores the ways individual differences affect the organization. He has research interests broadly in talent management, development, and succession, specifically in generativity, mentoring, leadership, turnover, organizational identification, and star performers.

Ryan received his MS in Agribusiness Management (`15), BS in Agricultural Economics (`13); Agricultural Systems Management (`13); Agricultural Education (`13); and AS in Agronomy (`12) from Purdue University. Prior to starting his PhD, Ryan was an Academic Advisor at Purdue for five years and grew up heavily involved in his family’s farm where he learned about business from being an entrepreneur with his brother raising beef cattle, pigs, row-crops, hay, and vegetables.
