Research and Teaching Interests
Dr. Ward’s teaching and research span the fields of Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and International Management. Her research mainly focuses on two streams: (1) how individuals identify with groups and (2) workplace climates for inclusion. She has taught Organizational Behavior, Multicultural Diversity Management, Management Theory and Leadership Practice (Principles of Management), and Human Resource Management.

Biography
Anna-Katherine (A.K.) Ward double-majored in Music and Psychology at Sewanee: The University of the South (2003). She then worked in sales, counseling, and human resources before obtaining her M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2008). She completed a dissertation on cross-cultural workplace voice and influence while working towards her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources at the University of South Carolina (2013). Dr. Ward’s current research stream centers on how people identify with groups, as well as on workplace climates for inclusion. She has conducted surveys and experiments in the U.S., China, and South Korea, and her work has been published in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Review, Industrial Relations, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business and Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Teaching in International Business, Personnel Review, and Scientific Reports.
