Emotions & Emotion Regulation in Organizations, Mindfulness, Structural Equation Modeling, Meta-Analysis

Biography

Haozhen Zhang’s research focuses on emotions in organizations and emotion regulation processes. She is interested in the effectiveness, mechanisms, and a variety of organizational consequences of emotion regulation. Haozhen also conducts research on both the bright and dark sides of mindfulness training. She employs experiments, surveys, and meta-analyses in research designs, as well as advanced techniques including multi-level modeling and structural equation modeling in data analysis. 

Haozhen’s work has appeared in the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Business and Psychology. She is committed to quality instruction and is prepared to teach undergraduate courses in the areas of organizational behavior, diversity and inclusion, and foundations of management. Before joining the doctoral program at Virginia Tech, she earned an M.S. in Management from London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) and a B.S. in Tourism Management from Sun Yat-sen University (China).
