Wendy Glass
Wendy Glass is a speaker, leadership coach, facilitator, entrepreneur and HR expert. She’s the CEO of Ignite Leadership Consulting Group, LLC, a Christiansburg-based leadership coaching practice focused primarily on helping high-performers enhance their leadership, execute strategy better and faster, and elevate their careers. Leveraging almost two decades of human resources and over 13 years of executive leadership experience, Wendy consults with organizations to align their people strategies with the company’s goals and facilitates development programs that support her client’s efforts to live their mission and fulfill their vision. She has held executive leadership positions in healthcare, on state and local government boards and commissions, and serves on various non-profit boards and committees.
Prior to opening Ignite in 2021, Wendy served as a Market Vice President, Human Resources with HCA, a Fortune 500 healthcare company based in Nashville, TN. In that role, she led the HR strategy for multiple-facility health systems across five states; and before joining HCA she worked at Carilion Clinic, but her leadership journey began right here at Virginia Tech.
Wendy’s experience as a strategic advisor to C-Suites affords her the opportunity to be a trusted partner to her clients, and her high energy coupled with an authentic passion for educating and developing future generations of leaders are contagious, allowing her to quickly connect with and inspire her students and clients.
Wendy has a master’s degree in leadership and management and a bachelor’s degree in management and organizational development. She’s a Certified Executive Coach (ICF-accredited training program), a Certified Senior Consulting HR Professional, and is an Everything DiSC® and The Five Behaviors® Certified Practitioner.
Wendy’s favorite season is summer, but college football (that is a season, right?) is a close second and when she’s not working, you’ll likely find her spending time with the love of her life, John. She holds many titles, but the two she’s most proud of include Mom and Mimi. Fun fact, Wendy is the only girl of five children and grew up in the upstate of South Carolina.
