Wendy Glass

Wendy Glass is an experienced executive leader, certified leadership coach, and human resources strategist with nearly two decades of professional expertise. She is the President and Founder of Ignite Leadership + HR Group, a consulting firm based in Christiansburg, Virginia. The firm partners with high-performing organizations to strengthen their talent strategy and leadership capability, accelerate strategic execution, and build high-impact workplace cultures.

Wendy has served in senior executive roles across the healthcare industry, including as Market Vice President of Human Resources for HCA Healthcare, a Fortune 500 company. In that capacity, she led HR strategy for multi-state health systems, working closely with senior leaders to align talent strategy with business priorities. Prior to HCA, she held progressive roles at Carilion Clinic, where she began developing the foundation for her work in human resources, leadership development, organizational design, and workforce engagement.

Although not a Virginia Tech alumna, Wendy is a proud Hokie—Virginia Tech is where her leadership journey truly began, and returning as an adjunct professor for Pamplin is both meaningful and full circle. She brings academic rigor and real-world insight to the classroom, blending over 13 years of executive leadership experience with a deep passion for developing the next generation of leaders.

She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management and a Bachelor’s in Management and Organizational Development, and is a Certified Executive Coach (ICF-accredited), Senior Certified HR Consultant, and an Everything DiSC®, The Five Behaviors®, and Trust at Work® certified practitioner.

A South Carolina native, she proudly wears many titles, but "Mom" and "Mimi" are her favorites. When not coaching leaders or teaching students, she is likely enjoying warm weather, college football, or both.
