Biography

Koehler is a versatile professional with a diverse background spanning various business sectors, industries, and departments. Before joining the university, Koehler garnered experience working with the military, small businesses, medical device/equipment companies, and startups.

Passionate about the personal and career development of others, Koehler is dedicated to mentoring and coaching students to achieve their professional goals. He understands the power in mentorship and avid networking skills. Thus, by leveraging his extensive professional network and strong relationships with corporate contacts, Koehler actively connects his current and past students to valuable opportunities within his network, fostering meaningful connections and opening doors for personal and professional growth; he is always ready to help his students land their next internship or full-time job.

Koehler excels at creating learning environments that foster growth and accountability, consistently raising the bar and challenging the status quo. With a deep commitment to effecting positive change, Koehler keeps inspiration, enabling certainty and promoting extreme ownership as the precipice of his coaching and teaching. Recognizing the unique talents within each student,  Koehler firmly believes in empowering students to discover their strengths, unlock their potential, and drive tangible results.

In addition to an MBA from Radford University and a BS in Management/Entrepreneurship, Koehler proudly served as a Veteran in the United States Marine Corps. This experience instilled a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and adaptability.

As a Blacksburg native, Koehler and his family returned to the area in 2019 for consulting, establishing a firm connection to the local community.
