Recruitment Process: Very long and thorough, but ultimately rewarding in helping me better understand what I want and how I can improve.
Looking Forward To: Applying what I’ve learned in college while working directly with communities to help improve economic opportunities and create meaningful impact.
Advice: Enjoy the process. If you’re burned out or don’t see value in what you’re doing, pivot—there’s always another path, and it will work out.
Recommended Student: Someone who enjoys working without structure, immersing themselves in new cultures, and learning from and teaching others.
Favorite Part of Pamplin: The sense of community. I’ve built relationships with students, professors, and leadership who genuinely care about my success.
Mentor or Inspiration:
Koehler Slagel – kick-started my entrepreneurship journey and has continued to be a valuable resource.
David Williamson – one of the most knowledgeable professors I’ve had, making complex topics practical and relevant.
Chris Courtney – provided unique perspectives and encouraged curiosity through thoughtful guidance.
Foundational Experiences: My time in Entrepreneurship Club was the most influential in shaping my academic path, career interests, and post-graduation plans.
